The Stone that killed the Giant

What can faith do for you

When you think about your faith, what comes to mind? What do you believe in and why do you believe in it? Some might say that they believe in the bible others will say they believe in God's word yet others will say they believe in Jesus The Christ, but when you think about your faith what comes to mind? If our faith is in God's word, the bible, and Jesus The Christ what does that mean for you? Faith, hope, and love are the greatest gifts given to us from the Lord but what can faith do for you and what is its purpose? Jesus tells us that if we had the faith of a mustard seed which is the smallest of seeds, we could say to a mountain uproot yourself and throw yourself into the sea and the mountain would obey you. So, faith is empowerment, and faith can do things for you not just some things but mighty things that you could not do on your own or by your own power. We are told that our faith in Jesus is not a faith of our own but is a gift from Jesus that is given to us through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit who is the combination of Jesus and God being one in spirit alive in you. So, the same power that rose Jesus from the grave is alive in you, that is if you have been baptized or fully emersed in the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells us that if we are in Him and He is in us and our faith is fully activated and alive then nothing is impossible for us. If we are not in Jesus and He is not in us, then the truth is nothing is possible, because by the power of our own strength we can do nothing. It's not by the power of our faith that mountains move instead it's by the power of Jesus's faith alive in us that moves mountains. You can't believe nor confess Jesus is both Lord and savior which saying He is both God the Father and His son in one body or one person. We believe it, because the Holy Spirit empowers us to believe it. Do not i believe Jesus was literally telling us to move mountains around the earth by or through a command? I don't think so, i think it was a metaphor saying, nothing is impossible for those who believe. Can i be Holy? Right now where i am? Well..... if God is in you then you are Holy because everywhere God is, is Holy. A voice from within a burning bush said to Moses take off your shoes for you are on Holy ground. What made the ground Holy? God's presence, God's word, maybe it was the fact that Moses took off His sandals, the response to Hearing God's word. If Jesus said today i call you my son and today i am your Father and you believe it, are you then Holy? The full meaning of "holy" involves being set apart for a divine or sacred purpose, implying purity, dedication to God, and separation from the common or profane; it comes from Old English for "whole," suggesting completeness, and in Hebrew (qadosh) means "separated" or "set apart," reflecting absolute moral purity and dedication to God's will, as seen in God's people, holy ground and holy things, and also signifies a saintly, pious character. Are you Holy? Have you been set apart for God's will and what is God's will for your life? Could it be to save you? What is the will of God? That you would be saved. For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten son to the world so that anyone or whosoever believed in Him would not perish but have eternal life. I have never seen in the bible where it says because man or humanity so loved God He gave them eternal life. Instead, it says the will of God was to make man His son. Even after the resurrection of Christ Jesus, He said go tell my brothers i am alive. Making them equals to Himself, and they believed the message was the truth. Now faith moved them to do things like speaking the word of God boldly without fear of being rejected harmed or mutilated. Their testimony was so big it was likened to a mountain and by faith that mountain stood up and threw itself into the sea of humanity which covered the whole world in God's word and will for the world. Be Holy for I the Lord your God am Holy. The pure at heart will see God, they will see Jesus is all and in all because their eyes have been opened to see the truth in God's promises. "I will never leave you nor forsake you, listen for my voice, hear my words, and obey them." "Believe in me and love one another just as i have loved you." The pure of heart will do what Christ has commanded them to do, and they do it because they love Jesus and He loves them. Why do we pray? Because we know Jesus is listening and cares for our needs.
